Into BCN

Off to a slow start here – our 3PM ferry was a half hour late getting in to Nanaimo due to a boat drill. Not to worry – it just gave more time for happy hour. We may have a few of them on this trip… It is starting to feel like a holiday already, and Meg promises there are surprises ahead of us. Sounds like my daughter, all right. Cole provided the limo service and will be looking after the poor lonesome cat while we are gone.

Then the Brit Airways flight was 3 hours late leaving YVR (11:45PM), causing a change in our connector to Barcelona. The flight was terrific, however - our first time in a 747. Felt like we were just sitting in someone's home theater. The thing is so damn big that you forget you are flying. Slept a little, drank wine, watched movies and landed in Heathrow at 4PM (8 hours ahead of Nanaimo time). Arrived in BCN at 9:30PM (Now 9 hours ahead of Pacific time) and into our little hotel on La Rambla, where all the action is.

So now I have showered and got connected - now we can go out and live it up in this crazy place that never sleeps.

Tomorrow we start touring.
